BELFAST, Maine — Police ended a months-long investigation of a woman suspected of illicitly selling prescription drugs from her home with her arrest this week.

Elizabeth Peabody, 26, was charged with three counts of unlawful trafficking in scheduled drugs, a class B crime punishable by up to 10 years in prison and up to a $20,000 fine.

Chief Deputy Robert Keating of the Waldo County Sheriff’s Office said the police investigation of Peabody’s alleged activities began on April 13, when undercover officials reported purchasing six Adderall and Vicodin pills from her at her Huntress Gardens apartment.

After her arrest, Peabody was taken to Waldo County Jail, and was released on bail the same day, according to a jail official.
