VEAZIE, Maine — The State Fire Marshal’s Office and local police are investigating an apparent attempt to burn down a trailer at Greystone Trailer Park Thursday morning, according to Veazie police Sgt. Keith Emery.

Emery said it appears a family’s trailer was broken into and accelerants dumped in the trailer in “an apparent attempt to burn the house down.”

There was no fire at the scene, according to Assistant State Fire Marshal Joseph Thomas, but a dog confirmed the presence of an accelerant inside the home.

No arrests have been made, Emery said.
