ORLAND, Maine — Great Pond Mountain Conservation Trust’s annual meeting and a day of fun, 10 a.m. Sunday, July 10. Meet at Craig Brook National Fish Hatchery for a paddle or hike up the Dead River to watch wildlife and enjoy the scenery, stopping at Wildlands picnic point for light refreshments provided by the trust. Participants encouraged to bring a bag lunch and water. The annual meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. at the Alamoosook Lakeside Inn in Orland with a dessert potluck. ROCKLAND, Maine — Slide-talk by Tom Jamrog of Lincolnville on hiking Pacific Coast Trail, 6:30 p.m. Thursday, July 7, Rockland Public Library. Jamrog spent five months backpacking the 2,656-mile Pacific Crest Trail. He’ll talk about traveling California, Oregon and Washington on this National Scenic Trail.
