The grant will help the two-runway airfield and seaplane base update the airport master plan and determine what updates the airport might see in the future, according to a press release from the offices of U.S. Sens. Olympia Snowe and Susan Collins.
“Maine’s aviation infrastructure keeps its residents connected with the rest of the country and the world,” Snowe and Collins said. “These FAA grants will help these small airports make the necessary upgrades and developments to improve their air travel services and passenger safety.”
A call to the airport late Wednesday afternoon was not returned.
