Veterans services officer to assist in applying for benefits in Lincoln

LINCOLN, Maine — Don Dare, veterans services officer from Department of Defense, Veterans and Emergency Management will be available from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday, July 7, and July 21, at the Lincoln Outreach Clinic, 99 River Road in Lincoln. The service officer will assist veterans, widows and dependent children to apply for state and federal benefits. For information, call 626-4464.

Public invited to miniature golf course ribbon-cutting ceremony in Charleston

CHARLESTON, Maine — The public is invited to attend a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the new 18-hole miniature golf from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, July 7, at Whitetail Golf Course, 373 School Road in Charleston. Ice cream sundaes will be served to promote the new business. All are welcome.
