BANGOR, Maine — A Lincoln man was listed in critical condition Tuesday night at Eastern Maine Medical Center after an early morning crash on the Fourth of July.

Jeremy Jipson, 22, and his passenger, Jessica Munson, 21, of Orrington, were ejected from Jipson’s 2003 Nissan Maxima in a single-vehicle crash on Route 191 in Lubec, the Washington County Sheriff’s Department said Monday.

Munson was listed in good condition Tuesday night at EMMC.

Jipson’s car was southbound when it went off the road and overturned several times, according to a previously published report. Neither the driver nor the passenger were wearing seat belts, Washington County sheriff’s Deputy Ryan Allen said Monday.

Both Jipson and Munson suffered head injuries, according to Allen.
