University of Maine Cooperative Extension Food Preservation program aide Christopher Cosce will share advice on how to safely preserve your harvest at 6 p.m. Tuesday, July 12, at the Master Gardener Demonstration Garden at Rogers Farm at 914 Bennoch Road in Stillwater.

Cosce will bring along examples of tools used for preserving fruits and vegetables and resources for the home preserver and will be ready for questions that you may have.

This is a free program and advance registration is not required. It is the third of this summer’s Public Nights at the Garden. The next event, an Art in the Garden celebration, is scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 16.

The Demonstration Garden features plots maintained by volunteers from the Master Gardener program, a program of the University of Maine Cooperative Extension. The Garden is open every day from dawn until dusk.
