Flooded, washed-out roads reported in Caribou area

CARIBOU, Maine — Significant thunder and rain storms in central Aroostook County washed out and flooded roads in several towns late Monday afternoon. A flash flood warning was in effect until 5 p.m. for east central Aroostook County.

By 4:30 p.m, law enforcement officials reported a number of roads were flooded in Caribou, including the River Road, Old Washburn Road and Mitchell Road.

Trees were reported down between Caribou and Washburn. No injuries were reported.
