BREWER — Joe Stanevicz hit two singles and a fourth-inning two-run double as Bangor held off Brewer 7-5 in an American Legion baseball game Sunday..
Christian Corniel hit a single and a solo home run in the seventh for 12-1 Bangor. Cody McInnis chipped in with a double and a single.
Brandon Gendreau powered 10-4 Brewer with three singles and a solo homer in the third. ERic White had a double, two singles and a run scored and Kyle McLain hit an RBI single.

Bangor sweeps Calais
At Mansfield Stadium in Bangor, Jesse Wood and Greg Duff each turned in strong pitching performances to help Bangor sweep Calais. Wood struck out seven and improved to 2-1 to pace Bangor to a 7-4 win in the opener while Duff followed with a complete-game five-hitter as he improved to 3-0 in Bangor’s 7-2 victory.
In the first game, Brian Rouleau contributed to the win with an RBI triple while Dylan Morris also tripled. Christian Corneil, Brendan Moore and Seth Freudenberger each chipped in with RBI singles.
Bryce Colbeth and Adam Geel each had an RBI single for Calais.
In the second game, Morris cranked a two-run homer for Bangor and Bobby Winchell added a two-run triple. Joe Stanevicz chipped in with an RBI triple, Carl Farnham added an RBI single and Freudenberger doubled.
Colbeth paced Calais with a double and RBI single and Jake Scoville had an RBI single.

Motor City sweeps Acadians
At Blue Hill, Saturday, Max Andrews broke the 2-2 tie in the fifth inning with a two-run home run that helped propel Motor City past the Acadians in the second game of a doubleheader.
Motor City also won the first game 15-7.
In the first game, Andrews had a single and a fourth-inning two-run homer for Motor City. Phil Benoit had four singles and scored two runs and Ryan Carr added a double, two singles and an RBI.
Chase Bickford led the Acadians with a three-run home run in the third. Jesse Dow hit three singles and Schuyler Van der Eb hit two singles.
In the second game, Sean O’Donnell hit three singles and drove in a run for 6-6 Motor City. Andrews also doubled.
Mike Crowley hit three singles with an RBI for 1-11 Acadians. Gabe Stearns had two singles.

Hampden, Lincoln split
At Millinocket, Saturday, Hampden scored six runs in the eighth inning with Josiah Brazier tallying the go-ahead run on a fielding error as the Riverdogs topped Lincoln 18-12 in the opener.
The Lumber won the second game 8-7 by scoring two runs in the bottom of the seventh.
In the first game, Evan Kingsbury doubled and singled with three RBIs and two runs scored for Hampden. Justin Amoroso and Kevin Frederick both had two singles and two RBIs.
Dustin Sawtelle had a single, double, home run and five RBIs to power Lincoln. Jordan Morrow had two singles with three runs and A.J. Harris added two singles and an RBI.
In the second game, Lincoln’s Dustin Sawtelle tied it in the seventh with an RBI single and A.J. Harris scored the winning run from third on a balk. Garen Manzo tripled and singled with three RBIs and Sawtelle hit two singles and drove in two runs.
Kingsbury hit a two-run home run to pace 9-4 Hampden. Kevin Frederick had two singles, two runs, two RBIs and two stolen bases. Jared Seamans singled twice and knocked in a run.

At Lincoln, Sunday, Logan McLaughlin scored the winning run off an A.J. Harris triple in the bottom of the eighth inning as Lincoln used five runs to rally past the Acadians of Blue Hill.
Dustin Sawtelle hit a two-run home run to add some insurance for the 7-5 Lumber. Jordan Morrow had four singles and scored two runs.
Chase Bickford had a two-run homer in the second to give the 1-12 Acadians a 2-0 lead. Nick Kane had two doubles and single with an RBI. Mike Crowley and Josh Gale both doubled and singled.

At Dover-Foxcroft, Sunday, Tim Barnes’ two-run double highlighted a four-run eighth inning that powered Calais to victory over Penquis.
Tim Barnes struck out seven through seven innings for Calais.
Josiah Richard, Kaleb Smith and Casey Jordan both singled twice for 1-13 Penquis.

Brewer sweeps Penqius
At Brewer, Saturday, righthander Pat McEwen allowed just one walk while striking out seven in no-hitting Penquis as Brewer beat the Navigators 12-0 in the first game.
Brewer completed the sweep by topping Penquis 7-2 in the nightcap.
In the first game, Tyler French hit two doubles to drive in three runs for Brewer. Eric White singled and doubled with three RBIs and Brandon Gendreau hit a run-scoring double.
In the second game, Kyle Alexander hit an RBI triple to lead Brewer. Ryan Adams hit two singles and McEwen had an RBI single.
Ben Leary doubled and drove in a run on a single in the first for Penquis. Josiah Richard doubled.

Hampden’s Josiah Brazier doubled and singled with an RBI and Justin Rodgerson had two singles and drove in a run.
Phil Benoit paced 6-7 Motor City with three singles and two RBIs. Max Andrews hit a run-scoring single.
