Mainer killed by bull on farm

The Associated Press

FARMINGTON, Maine — A Maine farm worker has died at Sandy River Farms in Farmington after getting pinned by a bull.

A statement released by the farm’s owners said 55-year-old Ernest Bubar was pinned to the ground by the bull after he attempted to herd the animal into the correct pasture on Friday.

Bubar used his cellphone to call other workers for help. The statement says the other farm workers secured the bull and helped paramedics move him to an ambulance.

The Morning Sentinel newspaper says L. Herbert “Bussie” York and his wife, Brenda, operate the 600-acre dairy and crop farm. They said they were “deeply saddened by this tragedy.”
