AUGUSTA, Maine — Maine will be the backdrop for a survival show airing on the Discovery Channel.

“Dual Survival” was shot this spring at Cutler Coast Public Reserved Land Unit and Quoddy Head State Park, both properties managed by the Maine Bureau of Parks and Lands.

The episode, dubbed “Road to Nowhere,” will be aired at 9 p.m. Friday. It features survival experts Cody Lundin and Dave Canterbury in a not-so-uncommon Maine scenario.

According to the Discovery Channel website, the show features Lundin and Canterbury taking on the role of lost travelers after their vehicle runs out of gas on a logging road.
