Ellsworth police charge teens with underage drinking

ELLSWORTH, Maine — Four teenagers are facing alcohol-related charges after police received a noise complaint early Monday morning.

Officer Shawn Willey of the Ellsworth Police Department said he responded to a complaint of a loud noise at a State Street apartment at about 1:20 a.m. Monday.

Alesha MacLean, 18, of Ellsworth was arrested and charged with furnishing a place for minors to consume alcohol. Garrett Preston, 18, of Machias and Joseph Thompson, 20, of Bangor were arrested and charged with disorderly conduct.

All three, along with Megan Simason, 18, of Bar Harbor, were issued summonses charging them with illegal possession by consumption of alcohol.
