BREWER – Bangor-Brewer Athletic Club will host a free family fun day featuring six new exercise classes, a kid’s obstacle course, adult workout challenges, and a variety of family-fun activities like face painting and a dunk tank. The event will take place from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 9 at the athletic club’s fitness center located at 34 Abbott St. in Brewer, the former J.J.Nissen Bakery.
Team Irish Mixed Martial Arts Fitness Academy also will participate in the open house, which is being held to raise money for the Brewer Parks & Rec Department day camp program.
Weather permitting, the fitness classes will be held outdoors, and there will be a variety of demonstrations, prizes, and healthy treats for all.
Mark’s Music of Brewer will donate a sound system for the event.
The free classes that day include the popular Zumba dance program and a variety of other fitness routines as well as martial arts demonstrations.
