BANGOR, Maine — A fight between a boyfriend and his girlfriend Thursday afternoon escalated to the point that the woman reportedly bit her boyfriend on the shoulder and hit him, Bangor police Sgt. Ed Potter said Friday.

Megan Quintal, 21, was later arrested for domestic violence assault.

Police were called to Crestwood Apartments at 812 Ohio St. for the report of a fight and when Officer Chris Blanchard arrived he found an injured 21-year-old male.

“He explained that his live-in girlfriend had beat him, bit him, hit and kicked him,” Potter said.

After the fight, Quintal left the apartment complex but police found her later in the day and after interviewing her about what happened, arrested her for domestic violence assault. She was taken to Penobscot County Jail and later released, a jail official said. (Nok-Noi Ricker, BDN)
