ELIOT, Maine — A Maine lottery official says time is running out for the holder of a $200,000 lottery ticket that has yet to be cashed in.
A winning Powerball ticket worth $200,000 was bought July 17, 2010, at the Circle K convenience store in Eliot. But the person who bought the ticket has yet to turn it in.
Tim Poulin, director of operations for Maine’s lottery, tells the Portsmouth Herald that the ticket expires July 18 at 5 p.m.
He says it’s likely the ticket was simply discarded, but that it might be worth it for people who bought a ticket at the store last July to check their coat and pants pockets.
