Belfast Garden Club to hold Open Garden Days

BELFAST, Maine — The sixth annual Belfast Garden Club Open Garden Days features 13 gardens in Belfast, Belmont, Searsport, Searsmont, Bayside and Northport. One garden per week will be open to the public 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Fridays, through Aug. 26. Tickets can be purchased at each garden on the day of the tour for a donation of $4 for one garden or $15 for a five-visit ticket. BUCKSPORT, Maine — 3rd annual Bucksport’s Abloom, Saturday, July 9. All-day event, kicking off with a presentation by Diane Bianco at 9:30 a.m. at The Alamo Theatre, an Art for the Day Gallery on Main Street featuring area artists and demonstrations; lunch on the waterfront by Macleod’s Restaurant from noon to 2 p.m.; a container gardening presentation by Sonia Cianchette of Through the Garden Gate at 12:30 p.m. on the waterfront; a flea market in the Bangor Savings parking lot; specials at local merchants all day.
