White propels Brewer past Acadians in Legion baseball

BUCKSPORT — Eric White had two doubles, an RBI, and two runs scored as Brewer beat the Acadians 6-1 in American Legion baseball play Thursday night.

Brandon Gendreau added two singles, an RBI, and two runs scored for the 4-2 Falcons, and Tim Nason pitched five innings, giving up five hits and striking out five. Pat McEwen pitched the sixth and seventh, striking out five.

Nick Kane had two singles and an RBI for the 0-6 Acadians.

At Hampden, At Hampden, Justin Rodgerson hit a solo home run in the second inning and a single as Hampden defeated Calais.

Connor Perry pitched a complete game on the mound striking out five and walking three. Matt Palmer sparked a two run third inning with an RBI double, and Kevin Frederick contributed an RBI single for the 5-1 Riverdogs.

Jeremy Beers had two singles for 2-3 Calais.

At Millinocket, Garen Manzo had two doubles, a single and three RBIs and pitched two innings of relief to help lead Lincoln past Penquis.

Jordan Morrow added two RBI ground-rule doubles and scored two runs, and Logan McLaughlin contributed a double, single and two RBIs for 4-1 Lincoln. A.J. Harris pitched the first five innings, striking out three.

For 0-6 Penquis, David Lord had a double and Ryan Rebar had a single, stolen base and run scored.

At Rockland, Dylan Foster and Blair Blaisdell had a pair of singles apiece and Chris Deraps and Shawn Russell combined on a seven-hitter, allowing just one run over the final five innings, as Messalonskee of Oakland beat Amato’s of Rockland.

Nate Veilleux doubled for the winners.

Luke Morrill homered for Rockland, and Cameron Gartley and Kyle Olehnik each doubled. Tony Campagnoli singled twice.
