Senior All-Star softball games canceled

AUGUSTA — Inclement weather Thursday forced the cancellation of this year’s East-West Senior All-Star Softball games scheduled to be held at Cony High School.

The announcement of the the annual Miss Maine Softball, originally scheduled between the C-D and A-B senior all-star games, now will be held Monday in conjunction with the East-West Underclass All-Star Game to be held at Saint Joseph’s College in Standish, according to Lynn Coutts, vice president of the Maine High School Softball Coaches Association.

The underclass game is set for a 5 p.m. first pitch.

Finalists for Miss Maine Softball are Alexis Bogdanovich of South Portland, Kayla Merrill of Telstar of Bethel, Jess Poulin of Lawrence of Fairfield and Miranda Riendeau-Card of Mount Ararat of Topsham.
