BANGOR – Richard S. Jeskey, 53, died unexpectedly, June 13, 2011, at his home. He was born July 10, 1957, in Plainfield N.J. the son of John J. and Justine F. (Hunt) Jeskey.
Rick was a 1976 graduate of Brewer High School. He served 16 years in the U.S. Coast Guard and continued to serve his country as a member of the Army National Guard. Rick and his family attended and were members of Calvary Baptist Church, Brewer, for many years. He had been working as a truck driver for NH Bragg and CDS recently. He loved the open road whether it was driving his delivery route or cruising on his motorcycle.
Surviving are his mother of Brewer; four children, Corey Jeskey and his wife, Melinda, Garrett Jeskey and his wife, Rita, Andrew Jeskey and his wife, Alexandra, and Claire Jeskey; one granddaughter, Charlotte Jeskey; a brother, David Jeskey and his wife, Janet, of Bangor; a sister, Melanie Pelletier and her husband, Scott, of Orrington; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his father in 2004.
Family and friends may visit 6-8 p.m. Friday, June 24, at Kiley & Foley Funeral Service, 299 Union St., Bangor. A service honoring and celebrating his life will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at Calvary Baptist Church, 61 State St., Brewer with the Rev. Roger Davis, pastor, presiding. A time of fellowship and refreshments will be held immediately after the service at the church center. Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery, Route 15, North Bucksport. Condolences may be offered at
