Three Rivers Kiwanis auction to begin Friday, June 24 in Milo

MILO, Maine — Three Rivers Kiwanis Club of Milo-Brownville will hold its annual auction starting at 4:30 p.m. Friday, June 24, at the Tradewinds Supermarket parking lot in Milo.

Many gift certificates for services and products will be awarded to the highest bidder, including 100 gallons of fuel oil, four-wheel car alignments, veterinary services, fresh blueberries, crushed stone and two tickets to the AC/DC tribute weekend at the Junction Music Park. There also will be antiques, collectibles and new and used items.

The auction will continue at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 25 and end by 3 p.m.

A yard sale will be operated from noon to dark on Friday and from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. Refreshments will be on sale at the Kiwanis Chuck Wagon.

Tickets for a drawing of $200 worth of groceries from Tradewinds, a $150 card for gas at Harmon’s Shell and a $50 gift certificate to Hobnobbers Restaurant will be sold at the auction.

The proceeds from these events are invested back into the community for such programs as the annual bike rodeo, the Veterans Day dinner, Secret Santa, 4-H after-school programs, Life Jackets, the Brownville Library and Womancare.
