Signs of Summer

Photographer Dave Small of Old Town got in a bike ride on Sunday morning along the Penobscot River in and came across some great photo opportunities. He captured a doe white-tailed deer that came walking down the railroad tracks directly towards him. The bullfrog was uncooperative and would not face him so he took this back view. Then on a visit to the Lyle Littlefield Ornamental Garden at the University of Maine he  got another opportunity to photograph the leucistic white-tailed doe deer. Small said, “She seems to be saying ‘is that you, again!’”? The garden also produced images of a gray catbird and a cedar waxwing.
