Two men sought in North Berwick assault

NORTH BERWICK, Maine — Police were searching for two men Monday night they say assaulted a local resident with a metal object on Morrills Mill Road.

At approximately 7:45 p.m., police received a call from a neighbor of the attack, which reportedly was carried out by two male assailants, one of whom was wearing a mask, according to reports.

The two attackers then left the scene, according to police.

Little information was being released late Monday evening about the attack as the assault was still being investigated.

While police declined to comment on the model and make of the vehicle the two males left the scene in, police scanner traffic was asking area police departments to be on the lookout for a blue, SUV-type vehicle.
