Belfast Rotary Club makes annual donations to food cupboards

The Belfast Rotary Club recently made its annual donations to area food cupboards and the Belfast Soup Kitchen from the proceeds of its pancake breakfasts. Club member Marjorie Crowley (third from left) gave out the donations to (from left) Cleo and Donna Alley of Northport Food Cupboard, Alex Allmayer-Beck of the Belfast Soup Kitchen, Ralph Harvey of the Searsport Methodist Church Food Cupboard and June Clark of the Greater Bay Area Ministerium Food Cupboard. The Rev. Scott Baker of the Little River Baptist Church was not present to accept its donation. Crowley reported that the Alleys said the Northport Food Cupboard was feeding 35-40 households when they took over four years ago, but last month it was 117.
