DOVER-FOXCROFT — Maine Whoopie Pie Festival, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, June 25, at 20 East Main St. It will feature whoopie pie eating contests, a music stage, street fair and hundreds of whoopie pies to sample for 25 cents each. PORTLAND — A Theater Tasting, 8-10 p.m. Friday, July 8, at Lucid Stage, 29 Baxter Blvd. A twist on the traditional wine tasting and a fundraiser for Lucid Stage. Performers will include Carolyn Gage (excerpt from her play “The Parmachene Belle”), stand-up comedy from Mike Sylvester, Michael Lane Trautman, Dark Follies (burlesque), musician Jake Brooks, belly-dancing troupe Naya’s Trance  and The Green Room musical, produced by New Edge. Between the acts the audience will be invited into the lobby for a wine and appetizer pairing that is chosen to go with each performance. Tickets $25. STILLWATER — Strawberry Festival featuring shortcakes, sundaes and pies, 2:30-6 p.m. Saturday, June 25, at Stillwater Federated Church. Pies and jam for sale. Adults $3.50; children $1.
