Antique Tractor Club to hold festival

FARMINGTON, Maine — The Maine Antique Tractor Club’s 16th annual Summer Festival and Antique Tractor Show will take place at 8 a.m. Friday-Sunday, June 24-26, at the Farmington Fairgrounds. The festival will benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Maine. Ticket prices are $5 for adults, $2 for children 11-17 and free for children 10 and under. There will be antique tractor pulls all three days of the festival in addition to games, a parade, lawn and garden pulling, machinery demonstrations, tractor seminars and many other activities. Bangor club to participate in amateur radio field day

BANGOR, Maine — The Bangor-area Pine State Amateur Radio Club will join at National American Radio League’s Field Day at 6 p.m. Saturday, June 25 and 2 p.m. Sunday, June 26, in the parking lot of Hermon High School. Field Day helps train experienced and inexperienced radio operators for emergencies and for hobby use. Club members will be available to welcome visitors and share knowledge about amateur radio. Boy Scouts award dinner planned for Camp Roosevelt

EDDINGTON, Maine — The Katahdin Area Council, Boy Scouts of America will host the 2011 Silver Beaver award ceremony and banquet at 7 p.m., fellowship at 6 p.m., Saturday, June 25, at the Peter G. Vigue Center at Camp Roosevelt in Eddington. The Silver Beaver Award is the council-level distinguished service award of the Boy Scouts of America. 4-H development program to hold silent auction

ORONO, Maine — The 4-H youth development program of the University of Maine Cooperative Extension will hold “Take-a-Chance,” a silent auction, at noon Sunday, June 26, at the Windsor Fairgrounds. Tickets for the auction range from $5 to $20. Proceeds will benefit sending 4-H youth and their animals to the Eastern States Exposition in West Springfield, Mass. Antique car event in Dover-Foxcroft
