Brewer tops Motor City in Legion baseball opener

BANGOR — Cody Farrell rapped an RBI double in the second inning and a run-scoring single in the seventh to propel the Brewer Falcons to a season-opening 7-4 victory Thursday over Motor City at Winkin Complex.

Kyle McLain rapped a double and an RBI single to back winning pitcher Pat McEwen, who scattered eight hits with four strikeouts and no walks over six innings. Eric White posted an RBI double for Brewer.

Losing pitcher Max Andrews paced Motor City with two singles and an RBI, and Sean Estey-O’Donnell contributed a double and a single. Zak Kochis added a single and a sacrifice fly, and Cody Cross doubled.
