ROCKLAND, Maine — The city will shut down Route 1 to celebrate the 11th annual Summer Solstice Street Fair 5-9 p.m. Saturday, June 18.
The street party will include a dog parade, and Main Street vendors will line the street with art, sales and food specifically for the event. The street fair will also have a whoopie pie eating contest while musicians play on the street.
The Juneteenth Celebration, which commemorates the end of slavery in America, will take place on Winter Street connecting to all the Summer Solstice activities.
