Camden town manager to retire in October

CAMDEN, Maine — Camden’s town manager announced Thursday that she will retire in October.

“I have worked in local government management in New Hampshire, Vermont and Maine for 30 years; it is time to take a break,” Roberta Smith wrote in an email to Camden’s Select Board members.

Smith has worked in Camden for nine years and helped upgrade the town’s infrastructure, tightened budgets and helped clean up the town’s brownfields.
