Fort Kent Community High School names honor parts

FORT KENT — Fort Kent Community High School recently announced its honor parts for the Class of 2011. Graduation exercises were held Friday, June 10, in the high school gymnasium.

Taylor L. Pelletier, daughter of Cheryl and Kevin Pelletier, was named valedictorian of her class. She will attend the University of Maine at Farmington where she will major in elementary education.

Throughout her four years of high school, she participated in drama club productions, served as vice president of her class, was a member of the student council and was also a member of the wrestling team.

Christina L. Beaulieu, daughter of Linda Lizotte and Jacques Beaulieu, was named salutatorian of her class. She will attend the University of Maine at Fort Kent where she will major in elementary education.

Throughout her four years of high school, she participated in Students Against Drunk Driving, National Honor Society, chamber chorus and was a member of the All-Aroostook Chorus.

Rebecca L. Martin, daughter of Mary Martin and Scott Daigle, was named honor essayist of her class. She will attend Elmira College in New York where she will major in international studies.
