Police converge on Orneville stabbing, assault scene

ORNEVILLE, Maine — Police from several law enforcement agencies were called to a residence on Boyd Lake Road to investigate reports of a stabbing, an assault with a baseball bat and several assaults with brass knuckles.

The incident was reported about 10 p.m. Wednesday, a Piscataquis County emergency dispatcher confirmed. Officers from the Milo and Brownville police departments, the Maine State Police and the Piscataquis County Sheriff’s Department were on the scene late Wednesday.

Police were trying to locate two suspects, a male and a female, who reportedly left the scene in a pickup truck. Initial reports indicated that a woman had been stabbed, that a man had been struck in the head with a baseball bat and that others had been assaulted with brass knuckles.
