NOBLEBORO, Maine — Authorities say an 83-year-old Maine man missing for five hours was hospitalized after he was found near his house.

Fernald Cunningham was conscious when he was found early Tuesday afternoon, but had to be taken to Miles Memorial Hospital in Damariscotta for treatment.

Cunningham’s son reported him missing at about 8 a.m.

The Kennebec Journal says Cunningham was found by a game warden with a search dog.
