AUGUSTA, Maine — Maine state police say a man whose body was discovered over the weekend in his Augusta apartment died from a stab wound to the chest.

Spokesman Stephen McCausland said Monday no charges have been filed as state and Augusta police continue to investigate the death of 46-year-old David Cox.

His body was found early Saturday.

Cox lived in the apartment with a second man, who called 911 early to report the stabbing. Police say 40-year-old Michael Young has been interviewed by investigators and is cooperating.
