CARIBOU, Maine — A mobile home on Sweden Street was destroyed Monday afternoon after a fire broke out while its occupants were away.

The State Fire Marshal’s Office has been asked to help pinpoint the fire’s cause, Tim Guerrette, a Caribou Fire Department firefighter-paramedic, said Monday evening.

Guerrette said the fire was reported at 3 p.m. and that the entire mobile home was in flames when fire crews from Caribou, Presque Isle and North Lakes arrived. Fire crews remained at the scene until 7 p.m., he said.

The mobile home, located at 912 Sweden Street, was owned by Jamie Fulton, who lived there with his daughter, Guerrette said. He said the home was insured and that the family is working with an insurance agent to make arrangements for housing.

No one was injured in connection with the fire Guerrette said.
