HOULTON – Marilyn C. Carlson Adams, 73, has gone to be with her Lord and Savior June 6, 2011. She was born Sept. 19, 1938, in Dorchester, Mass., daughter of the late Alan and Martha Gustafson Carlson.
She graduated from Ricker Institute before enrolling in Worcester Hahnemann Hospital School of Nursing, where she received a bachelor’s degree and registered nurse license. She was employed at Aroostook Hospital and Houlton Regional Hospital for more than 30 years. She was a special nurse to many cancer patients while working in ASU at Houlton Regional Hospital.
She is survived by her daughters, Debra Curran of Portland, Conn., and Roberta Sue Henderson of Houlton; stepdaughters, Lynn Skehan and husband, Jimmy, and Debbie Adams, all of Houlton, Donna Lord and husband, Weston, of Danforth; grandchildren, Rebecca McNutt, Robert Henderson, Kelly Curran, Jasmine Ellis, James Skehan, Isaiah Gillis, Lucas Gillis, Jessica Logue and Sasha Pullen; great-grandson, Caden Pullen; her special cousins, Buddy and Russ Carlson; and special friends, Mary Newhouse, Peggy Benn, Vera Carmichael, all other friends at Four Season Circle, and two that were like family, Mary Culer and Steve Moore. She was predeceased by her parents; her brother, Robert Carlson; and husband, Harold Adams. Marilyn was full of life and loved her family very much. She will be sadly missed.
