Grand jury indicts man in Westbrook stabbing death

WESTBROOK, Maine — A Maine grand jury has indicted a Worcester, Mass., man for murder in a stabbing in Westbrook.

Thirty-year-old Tareek Hendricks was identified as a suspect from photographs found on a cell phone left at the home of 40-year-old Robert and Melissa Stubbs.

Robert Stubbs died of multiple stab wounds on April 21. Twenty-seven-year-old Melissa Stubbs also was stabbed and is recovering.

The Cumberland County Grand Jury returned the indictment against Hendricks Thursday on charges of murder and elevated aggravated assault. printed on August 21, 2017
