Stolen kitten returned to Bangor Humane Society

BANGOR, Maine — According to Bangor police, a kitten reported as stolen from the Bangor Humane Society on Friday has been returned after tips from the public lead to its recovery.

The kitten, described by police as a black, long-haired, domestic male about 8 weeks old, reportedly was taken from the shelter under the sweatshirt of one of four male suspects who were seen looking at kittens.

Police say the case remains under investigation.
