BANGOR, Maine — The sentencing of a LaGrange man who used the screen name “studman634” was continued Monday so that an assessment may be completed to evaluate his risk of reoffending.

A new sentencing date in U.S. District Court has not been set.

Lawrence J. Labbe, 45, has been held without bail since February when he pleaded guilty to unlawful transportation of child pornography via his computer.

Labbe faces a mandatory minimum sentence of five years and a maximum sentence of 20 years. He has no criminal history, according to court documents.

He came to the attention of law enforcement officials in September 2009 when an undercover Macomb County sheriff’s deputy in Detroit, Mich., asked Labbe to share child pornography with him.
