‘A Penobscot Indian Story’

“Many Hands, A Penobscot Indian Story,” written by Hampden resident Angeli Perrow (right) and illustrated by Heather Austin (left), formerly of Orrington, was chosen unanimously as the 2010 Lupine Award Winner in the picture book category. The award was presented by the Maine Library Association in a ceremony on April 14 at the Augusta Civic Center. Established in 1998, the Lupine Award honors a Maine author and-or illustrator who has created a work of outstanding merit for young people. Holding the book is Terry Bregy of Down East Books, publisher.
