Emerging Artists concert in Winter Harbor to feature Belfast teen

WINTER HARBOR, Maine — The Emerging Artists concert series will begin with a performance by Clayton Clemetson, 17, of Belfast at 7 p.m. Friday, June 10, at Schoodic Arts for All, Hammond Hall, 427 Main St., Winter Harbor. He will play his original piano compositions.

Clemetson has been improvising and composing on the piano for more than eight years. Since 9, he has studied piano from a classical perspective and now focuses on improvisation and composition.  His dream is to become a composer of music for film.

Clemetson has performed for various events and openings, including Belfast’s annual New Year’s by the Bay celebration. He is raising funds through his piano performance for a semester in Ecuador with an organization called Kroka.
