The Bangor Daily News is posting on its website (new.bangordailynews.com) a series of weekly video golf tips from local pros to aid golfers with basic instruction.

This week’s guest pro is Thea Davis, who has been the pro at Hermon Meadow Golf Club for 10 years.

Putting accounts for about half of a player’s strokes during a round. In the accompanying video, Davis explains the basics of lag putting, or getting long putts close to the hole.
