“The Great Outdoors Wild Game Cookbook” is a compilation of tasty concoctions from Maine Guides and camp cooks.
The content was compiled and published in the cookbook by the Maine Professional Guides Association in the early 1990s. Recipes were gathered from guides and lodges around the state with many camp cooks providing their “secret” recipes.
Many of the contributors are still guiding or running their lodges. A visit to their camps today might be an opportunity to taste some of these tried-and-true favorites.
