Islesboro school names students to honor parts

Islesboro — Islesboro Central School has announced the honor parts for the graduating Class of 2011. Graduation will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 5, in the Islesboro Central School, Kinnicutt Center.  

Michelle Reidy, daughter of Julianna and William Reidy of Islesboro, has been named valedictorian. She plans to attend University of New England in Biddeford to pursue a degree in applied exercise science working toward physical therapy.

Jason Hatch, son of Apryl Grindle and Paul Hatch Jr. of Islesboro, has been named salutatorian. He plans to attend Maine Maritime Academy in Castine to pursue a degree in marine transportation operations.
