FRANCENA GLADYS JIPSON

MEDWAY – Francena Gladys Jipson, 79, wife of the late Edward H. Jipson, passed away June 2, 2011, at the home of her daughter in Millinocket. She was born June 11, 1931, in Holden, the daughter of Willis and Viola (Hall) Harvey.

Francena enjoyed doing crafts and knitting. She was a member of Living Hope, Church of the Nazarene, East Millinocket.

She is survived by four children, Eugene Jipson of Boone, Iowa, Barbara Bottari of Millinocket, Rose Hunter of Skowhegan and Bruce Jipson of Hancock; eight grandchildren, Christopher, Sharon, Rachel, Jeff, Timothy, Amanda, Joshua and Kelsey; two great-grandchildren, Kaylee and Anthony; a sister, Mildred Carrow of Carmel; two brothers, Freedom Harvey of Hampden and Robert Harvey of Holden; several nieces and nephews. She also leaves a close friend, Charles Curtis. In addition to her husband and her parents, she was predeceased by a son, Francis Edward Jipson.

Friends may call 6-9 p.m. Saturday at Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday at Living Hope, Church of the Nazarene, 1 Palm St., East Millinocket, with the Rev. David Shaw officiating. Interment will be at Grindstone Road Cemetery.
