OLD TOWN, Maine — Police have released video images of the suspect in a burglary at the Dunkin’ Donuts on Stillwater Avenue last week.

“Basically, someone entered overnight and went inside and stole money from the office,” Detective Tom Adams said Tuesday.

Adams said some photos were withheld because they show evidence of the crime that only the burglar would know.

The coffee shop, which is equipped with video surveillance cameras, was broken into sometime after the business closed on May 25 and before it reopened on May 26.

An employee noticed that money was missing and called police.

The suspect is estimated to be 5 foot 7 inches to 5 foot 9 inches, 180 lbs, and Caucasian. The suspect wore black overalls with a light-colored stripe down the side of the leg, a black knit hat, a bandana around the face and sneakers. The person also had a black hooded sweatshirt on when going into the building.

“We hope the public can help us identify the suspect,” Adams said Tuesday.

Anyone with information is asked to call Adams at 827-3984, ext. 134, or email tadams@oldtownpd.org.
