BANGOR — Community Summer Solstice Celebration: A Growing Time, midnight, Saturday, June 18, at Unitarian Universalist Church, 120 Park St. All are welcome to celebrate the summer solstice through art, crafts, drumming and song. Performers include Voices for Peace, Women with Wings, Leah Wolfsong and Circle Voices. Donations will benefit the Peace and Justice Center of Eastern Maine and the Barka Foundation. This competitive team challenge will test strength and stamina as teams of eight will attempt to pull a 10-ton PBY Seaplane 12 feet in a timed pull-off.
