Old Town police investigating Dunkin’ Donuts burglary

By Nok-Noi Ricker, BDN Staff

OLD TOWN, Maine — Someone broke into the Dunkin’ Donuts on Stillwater Avenue last week and police are preparing to release video images of the suspect, Detective Tom Adams said Tuesday.

“Basically, someone entered overnight and went inside and stole money from the office,” he said.

The coffee shop, which is equipped with video surveillance cameras, was broken into sometime after the business closed on May 25 and before it reopened on May 26.

An employee noticed the money missing and called police.

Adams said the video images should be released sometime Wednesday.

“We hope the public can help us identify the suspect,” Adams said.
