Bar Harbor’s Dog and Pony Tavern raises $3,420 for Hancock County SPCA

BAR HARBOR, Maine — The Dog and Pony Tavern’s second annual dunk tank fundraiser Saturday raised $3,420 for The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals of Hancock County.

Along with the sale of balls, bags of ice to add to the dunk tank, matching donations and a 50-50 raffle, Garrett Fitzgerald of the Dog and Pony put a hair-and-beard cut up for auction.

Twenty local celebrities took turns in the dunk tank.
