Camden International Film Festival announces call for entries

CAMDEN — The Camden International Film Festival is seeking submissions for its second Points North Pitch session,  part of the Points North Documentary Forum, a conference component that runs Sept. 29-Oct. 2 in Camden and Rockland.

Participants in the session may submit a trailer or clip of no more than five minutes in length by Aug. 31. The festival will choose several finalists to present work-in-progress films to the visiting industry delegation Oct. 1. One winner will receive a $1,000 cash prize and the potential to receive more funding from other foundations.

The competition is open to all New England based non-fiction films in development. All genres and subject matter will be considered.

The festival also is seeking submissions for its 2011 features and shorts programs and for PANOPTIC, a showcase of new media and experimental artwork. Documentary films of any length and any genre will be considered. Submission will be open until mid-July.
