LUBEC – Brian Lee Case, 59, passed away unexpectedly May 26, 2011, at his home. He was born June 11, 1951, in Lubec, the son of Susie Case and Roland Harvey.
He was a graduate of Lubec High School and worked for many years at Georgia Pacific mill, Woodland. He was well liked by everyone and was affectionately known by many as "Scum Bucket." He had a great love and devotion to his mother, Susie, and would enjoy many trips just riding around, and the times spent with her. He enjoyed walking the beach with his dogs and collecting sea glass. As a Lubecer, he loved being in the Fourth of July shirt-tail parades, and simply just being around town spending time with friends and family. He also enjoyed crocheting and making afghans for others. He was a member of Lubec Lions Club, as well as Sons of the American Legion Stuart-Greene Post No. 65, Lubec.
He is survived by and will be sadly missed by his beloved mother, Susie (Case) Lodge; his life companion, Shelley Jones; children, Danielle Caricofe, Jeffrey Stevens and Josh Jones; grandchildren, Jack and Jade; two stepbrothers, Jeff Lodge and wife, Donna, and Paul Lodge and wife, Patty; special aunts and uncles, Dot and Bill, and Bernard and Maxine; two very special friends, Joanne and Jane Hallett; as well as many special nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, June 11, at Greenlawn Cemetery, Lubec. McClure Family Funeral Services, Machias and Lubec.
