Register now for camps for children of military families

BRYANT POND, Maine — Military Adventure Camps are now open for registration. Programs are being offered to children of military families through a special grant program to provide outdoor experiences for teens of service members in the active, reserve and guard components.

Camps are led by staff of Maine 4-H Camp and Learning Centers and key outdoor education and adventure partners. The admission to camp is $10.

All presenting donors in June will receive a coupon for a free day-pass to a Maine State Park and enter to win a Bean’s Acadia Cruiser Bike by Schwinn, courtesy of L.L. Bean. One winner will be drawn each week.

The American Red Cross Donor Center at 900B Hammond St. in Bangor is open for donations 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Fridays and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. the first and third Saturday of each month.
